Itinerary
Day 1
Depart your group's location in a spacious video and restroom equipped motorcoach as you head for your destination: Washington, D.C. our National Capital! Later that day, enjoy a relaxing Dinner and check into your Washington, D.C. area hotel for a three night stay.
Day 2
Enjoy a Continental Breakfast before departing for a full-day Guided Tour of Washington, D.C. Some of the awe-inspiring sights on this fantastic tour will include the US Capitol, the White House, the National Archives, Embassy Row, and Georgetown. During the day, you will see the Washington Monument, Lincoln Memorial, the Martin Luther King, Jr. National Memorial, and several War Memorials. This evening, enjoy Dinner at a local restaurant before continuing on the Guided Memorial and Monuments Tour.
Day 3
Begin the day with a Continental Breakfast. Today's Guided Tour includes such poignant and inspirational sights as Arlington National Cemetery, including the Tomb of the Unknowns, and Kennedy Graves, as well as the Iwo Jima Memorial. You'll also enjoy a visit to the Smithsonian Institution. Later, you'll enjoy Dinner with entertainment before returning to your hotel for the night.
Day 4
After Continental Breakfast, you will enjoy a visit to the Smithsonian Air & Space Museum Dulles in Chantilly, VA. Later, you will set off for Lancaster in the heart of Pennsylvania Dutch Country. Tonight, enjoy a relaxing Dinner and check into your Pennsylvania area hotel for a four night stay.
Day 5
Today after enjoying a Continental Breakfast, you will go on a GUIDED TOUR OF LANCASTER including Amish Country. Next, you’ll visit the KITCHEN KETTLE VILLAGE – a charming marketplace of shops and restaurants. Then, Sight & Sound Theatres invites you to experience the show “NOAH.” With a catastrophic storm on its way, Noah is given a monumental task: build a boat big enough to save his family from a flood that will cover the entire earth! As Noah endeavors to live faithfully in the midst of an incredible chaotic world, can he trust that God’s promises run deeper than the rising waters around him. Returning for one season only, this landmark production takes you on board one of the world’s best-known voyages as live animals fill the stage and aisles. Set sail inside the enormous ark as this extraordinary story comes to life in this special 30th anniversary season! Tonight, enjoy Dinner and head back to your hotel.
Day 6
Today after enjoying a Continental Breakfast, you will go to THE AMISH EXPERIENCE attraction. The Amish Country Homestead is a reflection of their commitment to accurately and sensitively portray the Old Order Amish as they live and work in today’s world. The Homestead is the home of the fictional Amish family of Daniel and Lizzie Fisher, whom you have gotten to know in the Amish Experience Theater’s “Jacob’s Choice.” Inside the Homestead, learn of Amish traditions and practices, plain clothing and life without electricity. The Fisher One-Room School is attached to the house and filled with authentic desks and furnishings from an actual Amish school. You’ll learn the tradition of teaching eight grades in one room. From the pantry stocked full of freshly canned vegetables to the family’s plain clothes… from propane-powered lamps to air-compressor driven appliances…the Fisher Family Homestead truly provides insights into the complex riddles of a culture so very different from our own. Then, you will enjoy a show at the MAGIC & WONDER THEATER. Tonight, enjoy Dinner before heading back to your hotel.
Day 7
After enjoying a Continental Breakfast, you will head to Philadelphia. Upon your arrival, you will go on a GUIDED TOUR OF PHILADELPHIA. During your tour some of the highlights you will see include: Independence Hall, Betsy Ross’ House, The Mint, The Federal Reserve, The Holocaust Memorial, Logan Circle, Penn’s Landing and “The Rocky Steps.” After your guided tour, you will have free time in the historic district where you will be able to visit the Liberty Bell and the Independence Visitor Center. Later, you will have Dinner before returning to your hotel for the evening.
Day 8
Today after enjoying a Continental Breakfast, you will enjoy a visit to the Hershey's Chocolate World in Hershey, PA. Later that day, you'll check into your en route hotel.
Day 9
Today, after enjoying a Continental Breakfast, you will depart for home... a perfect time to chat with your friends about all the fun things you've done, the great sights you've seen, and where your next group trip will take you!
FAQ about our Diamond Tours
What is your cancellation policy?
Travelers who cancel their booking at least 30 days prior to the trip departure date are eligible for a full refund, minus a $50 cancellation fee. Cancellations made within 30 days of the departure date are non-refundable.
If travel insurance was purchased and the reason for cancellation falls under the coverage terms of your policy, you may be able to file a claim to recover eligible costs of the trip, excluding the travel insurance premium. Please refer to the terms and conditions of your travel insurance policy and consult directly with your insurance provider for details regarding coverage and claims.
What if there is inclement weather?
In case of inclement weather, we will make every effort to reschedule the tour. Should rescheduling prove impossible, you will be fully refunded.
Are there any stops scheduled for the bus ride?
Yes! We have stops schedule every 2 to 2.5 hours.
Do you offer luggage handling?
Luggage handling will be provided at your final destination hotel. However, please note that this service will not be available at hotels during your journey to or from the final destination (if there are any). You will be responsible for managing your own luggage throughout these transit periods. For your convenience, we recommend packing a small overnight bag containing essential items such as documents, valuables, and medications for use on these nights.
What hotels will we be staying at?
Hotel details will be provided approximately one month before your trip. Typically, we select nationally recognized mid-tier hotels, such as Best Western, Tru by Hilton, and Country Inn and Suites, based on our previous trips. Rest assured, all accommodations are routinely inspected by our tour company to ensure they meet our high standards of quality and cleanliness.
