🚌 Day 1 – Saturday, May 17, 2025: The Adventure Begins!

Rise and shine, travelers! Today we hit the road in style aboard our deluxe motorcoach. With comfy seats, onboard entertainment, and scenic views, the journey itself is part of the fun. We’ll make our way through the South, enjoying rest stops and lunch on your own, before our first group dinner at Austin’s Steak & Homestyle Buffet in Knoxville—get ready for a Southern spread! We’ll then settle into our hotel in Lexington, KY for a restful evening before the excitement continues tomorrow.

🌿 Day 2 – Sunday, May 18, 2025: Gardens & Great Lakes

After a continental breakfast, we head north to Chicago! Along the way, we’ll stop for lunch and stretch our legs before diving into a world of lush greenery at the Garfield Park Conservatory. You’ll stroll through vibrant displays of exotic plants and tropical vibes, all under glass. Dinner tonight is a hearty buffet at Golden Corral, and we’ll rest our heads in Racine, WI—ready for more tomorrow!

🌅 Day 3 – Monday, May 19, 2025: Scenic Drives & Lakeside Views

This morning, we welcome our new friends from Bella Breeze Tours and hit the road toward Michigan’s picturesque Upper Peninsula. Enjoy the views, grab lunch on your own, and then savor dinner at the cozy Bay View Inn overlooking Lake Michigan. Tonight, we check into the Bavarian Haus Lakefront Inn in St. Ignace—where the water meets the stars.

🐴 Day 4 – Tuesday, May 20, 2025: Mackinac Island Magic

Today is pure magic. After breakfast, we cruise across the Straits of Mackinac on a catamaran ferry to the timeless Mackinac Island. With no cars allowed, we’ll step back in time on a horse-drawn carriage tour through lush forests, historic homes, and sweeping lake views. Afterward, you’ll have time to wander the quaint shops or enjoy lunch at the iconic Grand Hotel. We’ll regroup for a delicious lakeside dinner before heading back to St. Ignace with memories to last a lifetime.

🏰 Day 5 – Wednesday, May 21, 2025: Forts, Lighthouses & Lakefront Charm

History buffs and nature lovers rejoice! After breakfast, we’re off to Mackinaw City for a full day of exploration. Our step-on guide will walk us through stories of the Colonial Michilimackinac Fort, the Old Mackinac Point Lighthouse, and other hidden gems. Enjoy lunch and shopping in the charming Mackinaw Crossings village before we end the day with a dinner buffet at Great Lakes Grill in Cheboygan.

🚢 Day 6 – Thursday, May 22, 2025: Locks, Ships & a Dash of Luck

After breakfast, we cruise the Soo Locks, marveling at the engineering that allows massive freighters to “climb” between Lake Superior and Lake Huron. Spend the afternoon exploring downtown Sault Ste. Marie’s shops and waterfront sights. Want to test your luck? You’ll have free time at the Kewadin Casino before we enjoy a delicious dinner at the Sault Ste. Marie Country Club and head back to relax at our lakefront hotel.

🚍 Day 7 – Friday, May 23, 2025: Scenic Roads & Fond Farewells

Bags ready? After breakfast, we begin our scenic journey back south. We'll bid farewell to our Bella Breeze friends in Racine and check back into the Delta Hotels in Mount Pleasant. Today’s a more relaxed travel day with time to reflect on all we’ve seen—and maybe swap stories and photos with new friends over dinner on your own.

🎡 Day 8 – Saturday, May 24, 2025: Chicago Fun at Navy Pier

We’re wrapping up in style! After breakfast, we head to Chicago’s iconic Navy Pier, where you’ll enjoy free time to shop, eat, ride the Centennial Wheel, or simply soak up the stunning city skyline along Lake Michigan. After lunch on your own, we begin our journey back toward Lexington, KY, checking in late evening at the Sleep Inn for one last good night’s rest.

🎁 Day 9 – Sunday, May 25, 2025: Crafts, Culture & Coming Home

Our final morning begins with a relaxing visit to the Kentucky Artisan Center in Berea—perfect for picking up locally made souvenirs and enjoying regional treats. Then, it’s time to journey home, full of stories, photos, and the joy of unforgettable travel memories.

FAQ about our Diamond Tours

What is your cancellation policy?

Travelers who cancel their booking at least 30 days prior to the trip departure date are eligible for a full refund, minus a $50 cancellation fee. Cancellations made within 30 days of the departure date are non-refundable.

If travel insurance was purchased and the reason for cancellation falls under the coverage terms of your policy, you may be able to file a claim to recover eligible costs of the trip, excluding the travel insurance premium. Please refer to the terms and conditions of your travel insurance policy and consult directly with your insurance provider for details regarding coverage and claims.

What if there is inclement weather?

In case of inclement weather, we will make every effort to reschedule the tour. Should rescheduling prove impossible, you will be fully refunded.

Are there any stops scheduled for the bus ride?

Yes! We have stops schedule every 2 to 2.5 hours.

Do you offer luggage handling?

Luggage handling will be provided at your final destination hotel. However, please note that this service will not be available at hotels during your journey to or from the final destination (if there are any). You will be responsible for managing your own luggage throughout these transit periods. For your convenience, we recommend packing a small overnight bag containing essential items such as documents, valuables, and medications for use on these nights.

What hotels will we be staying at?

Hotel details will be provided approximately one month before your trip. Typically, we select nationally recognized mid-tier hotels, such as Best Western, Tru by Hilton, and Country Inn and Suites, based on our previous trips. Rest assured, all accommodations are routinely inspected by our tour company to ensure they meet our high standards of quality and cleanliness.
